Landing Students Place in Math Olympiad Program

Students from Landing Elementary School were among the nearly 150,000 students worldwide to participate this year in the Math Olympiad program. In order to prepare for the competition, they took part in a series of contests and practice sessions under the supervision and coaching of teacher Victoria DeLuise. She taught the children to solve unusual and difficult problems and to think creatively.

Caitriona Greene, Sarah Perez and Emily Rodgers captured first, second and third places, respectively. Additionally, Michael Corwin Jr, Brandon Cruz, Damian Dakas, Vincenzo DiGraci, Megan Fahey, Brianna Guillen, Elijah James, Axelle LaBaw, Ruby Morris, Mykaela Pajuelo and Sergio San Martin also competed in the competition. All students who participated were awarded certificates to honor their hard work and dedication to the program.
