Gribbin school jazzed things up recently at their annual Fine Arts Festival. Students and families enjoyed various jazz related activities, including listening to the jazz story, "Jazz Cats," read by librarian Robin Schapira; watching a jazz dance presentation by the second graders led by dance teaching artist Mickey Davidson, who worked with students in physical education teacher Mark Checola’s class; participating in a jazz sing-a-long led by music teacher JoAnn Criblez; and walking around the school and viewing beautiful jazz inspired student works of art assembled by art teacher LeeAnn Palazzo.  Other interactive activities included watching film clips of jazz legends, playing jazz games on the Smartboard and drawing to jazz music outside in the courtyard where the PTA served cool refreshments.
