The Connolly School K-Kids are participating in a statewide Kiwanis Project called “Treats for the Troops,” honoring the brave men and women who are serving our country and thanking them for all that they do.

K-Kids are asking all Connolly School students and families to donate candy (Twizzlers, Skittles, Starbursts, Swedish Fish, gum, hard candies, and lollipops), granola bars, fruit snacks, and individually wrapped or small packages of cookies. The items will be collected and sent to men and women enlisted in the armed services. Additionally, the K-Kids are participating in Trick or Treat for UNICEF again this year by toting collection boxes door to door on Halloween and calling out "Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF!" to raise money to provide health care, food, clean water, education and other important services to children in need around the world.

Approximately 40 students were inducted as Connolly K-Kids for the 2013-14 school year.  This year’s officers are co-presidents Isabella Bifano, Catarina Squarcifico, voce president Andrew Friedman, treasurer Astrid Andrade, secretary Sara Israel, and archivists Francesca Piccorillo, Yenifer Fernandez-Canales, and Alexis Hoffman. Nancy Cox and Sandra Vigliotti are co-advisers.
