Second graders in Colleen Verity's class at Gribbin Elementary School partnered to research famous African American pioneers as a culmination of their Black History Month studies. Students read books and conducted online research to write informative and interesting biography reports. They presented their reports before their classmates and stated their opinions on why their subjects were important to the civil rights movement, and why they were great contributors to society overall.
