Student Reflection Advances to State Level

Congratulations to Glen Cove High School sophomore Grace Blinkoff on her literary work that was recently selected for the New York State level of the PTA Reflections contest. Her work was selected by the Nassau County judges to advance to the state level in this annual contest sponsored by the National PTA.

Grace wrote her essay in the form of an anonymous letter to an anonymous teacher, urging the teacher to remain inspired and keep instruction interesting so students remain engaged. Glen Cove High School assistant principal Allen Hudson and GCHS PTSA president and Reflections committee chair Anne Markoulis congratulate Grace here.

The National PTA's Reflections program encourages students in pre-K through grade 12 to explore and be involved in the arts. Thousands of students follow a theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, music composition, literature, photography and visual arts.
