Jumping with Heart: Landing Raises $7K+

Landing Elementary School’s “Jump Rope for Heart” fundraising efforts have raised $7,181 this year. More than 145 Landing students and staff members participated in this year's effort, which benefits the American Heart Association.

Congratulations to Max Lasser, who raised a school high $415. Other top jumpers include:

Mikey and Lucas Mattern: $300 each
William Merkel, Daniel May, and Ryan Houghton: $200 each
Kevin Kelly Larkin: $190 each
Evan Rodriguez: $160
Vanessa Vela $151
Kristen Sita: $150

Through the Jump Rope for Heart program, students secure donations and pledge to jump rope for extended periods of time to raise awareness and much-needed monies for the AHA. Landing School Principal Dimitri Kryoneris and his three children, Gabriella, Sophia, and Luciano also participated. Landing physical education teacher Karen Serani coordinated the event.
