The theatrical premiere of Glen Cove High School student Danny Casale’s first full-length documentary titled “The God Doc,” will take place this Wednesday, May 7 at the Glen Cove movie theater beginning at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free.

Danny has been winning awards and accolades in local video/film festivals for the past few years and has enjoyed a steady YouTube following since sixth grade (He has more than 3 million views and 56,000 subscribers). “The God Doc” is Danny's exploration of the question..."What is God?"

“It is a film produced with a maturity and professionalism well beyond that of your typical high school senior,” said Danny’s media communications teacher Chris Barry. “It features interviews with pastors, theologians, children and your average person on the street – all with different views, opinions and answers to ‘the big question’.”

Danny recently won two major area media arts festivals for two separate short films: the Long Island Media Art Show, held at Five Towns College and LIU Post Student Film/Video Festival. Danny won both shows last year as well.

One of these award-winning films, titled "A Pleasant Yardsale" will be shown at the Cinema Arts Center in Huntington as part of the First Exposure Film Festival on Saturday, May 17.
