A Home-Grown Healthy End-of-Year Treat


This year’s Spring harvest from Deasy’s garden marked the first time students could enjoy their home-grown produce served to them straight from their recently acquired lunchroom Salad Bar. This was also the first time that hundreds of children experienced eating salad as part of their meal, and not adorning pizza or some other treat. These important milestones are part of a multi-year and ongoing commitment by the Deasy community to make its garden a centerpiece of both academic curriculum and a Healthy Lifestyle Initiative for all students.
