Members of the Glen Cove High School faculty embraced the Halloween spirit by participating in a fundraising costume contest, which provided assistance to a Glen Cove family.

Participants in the contest donated $5 to dress up for the friendly competition, with the winner deciding to donate the monies raised to the charity of their choice.

Main office faculty members, who dressed as characters from “Alice in Wonderland,” were selected as the winners. The team contributed the $235 raised to the family of Darian Ortega, who was tragically killed in a recent accident. Faculty and staff have collected more than $1,000 for the Ortega family since learning of the Glen Cove graduate’s passing.
