Character Club Learns About Respect

Gribbin students in Collen Verity's afterschool Character Club learned about respecting others during their October meetings. Each month, students learn about a positive character trait and perform a short skit related to the club’s monthly theme.

As part of their October activities, the children acted out a play about the book “The Giving Tree” and read a poem using the letters in the word respect.  The play taught the children to be kind to others and spend time with their family and friends. In addition, the children were reminded to always smile at their friends and be generous. The Character Club theme for November is generosity.
