Gribbin students in Antoinette Hatzopoulis’s class studied the history of Native Americans and Pilgrims around the Thanksgiving holiday. As part of their lesson, the first-graders learned about the food the Native Americans shared with the Pilgrims and created a homemade feast of corn muffins, cranberry sauce and butter, which they enjoyed as a class. The children also used their math skills to construct turkeys out of apples.
