The Glen Cove High School Masquers Society will be presenting its spring production entitled Once Upon a Mattress this weekend, from April 8-10. This once-upon-a-time farce follows poor Prince Dauntless (played by Mario Marin), who's still a bachelor thanks to his overbearing mother (played by Shania Wilcox) who insists that each of his potential brides-to-be pass an impossible gauntlet of tests. Carly Baron plays the intrepid and adorable Winifred who sleeps on a fantastic 20-layer bed for her pre-nuptial tryouts. Leilani D’Onofrio also stars as Lady Larkin, Rahul Nath as Sir Harry, and Steven Suarez as the silenced King Sextimus. Edward Norris directs the production, with choreography by Janice Aguilera. Tom Wallace is the stage director with help from Doug Rysdyk and Luis Ogando. Tickets are $8 for adults, $7 for students and $6 for senior citizens.

Performances are in the Glen Cove High School auditorium (Dosoris Way, Glen Cove, NY) Friday, April 8 at 8 p.m., Saturday, April 9 at 8 p.m. and Sunday April 10 at 2 p.m.
