Key Club’s Efforts Benefit Local Shelter

Glen Cove High School’s Key Club held its third annual holiday feast to benefit the North Shore Sheltering Program.

Club members, along with their fellow classmates, donated and served food at the event, which invited community members to enjoy a reasonably priced, delicious meal for a good cause.

Representatives of Cablevision’s Optimum Community “Charity Champions” program were also in attendance and presented the GCHS Key Club and Glen Cove school officials with a check for $500 and the North Shore Sheltering Program with an additional $1,000 on behalf of the Glen Cove club’s efforts. 

According to Key Club adviser Mary Ellen Cuomo, many local businesses donated food and other items to the event including Amalfi’s Restaurant, Cranky Ankie’s, Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty in Sea Cliff, Downtown Café, El Tazmul, Glen Cove Diner, La Bussola, Page One, St. Rocco’s Bakery, Stancos Restaurant, Stop and Shop, Subway, The View Restaurant, Vito’s Restaurant and Wild Fig.
