Eighth-grade students in Finley’s string orchestra shared their holiday spirit with residents at Sunrise of Glen Cove’s senior living community.

The students, who dressed festively for the performance, entertained the center’s residents with holiday music, including “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “Frosty the Snowman” and “The Hanukkah Song,” under the direction of Finley orchestra teacher Christopher Lippe. Finley band teachers Brittney Rifkind and Keith Schmidt were also on hand, performing alongside the middle school musicians.

“This is a good way for the students to give back to the community,” Lippe said. “They are giving the gift of their talent and spreading some holiday cheer to the residents.”
