Gribbin Celebrates Dr. King

Students at Gribbin School honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with an assembly featuring musical performances and speeches.

During the celebration, kindergarten students performed “Freedom, Freedom Let it Ring” and “Peace and Harmony,” while first-grade students read a poem titled “Dream.” Second-graders performed “It’s in Every One of Us,” read facts about Dr. King’s life and spoke about character traits related to the civil rights activist.

Other highlights included the reading of quotes from Dr. King’s "I Have a Dream Speech” and students, staff and parents taking a peace pledge, before singing “We Shall Overcome.”
