Celebrating Dr. Seuss

Landing students in Maria DePace's and Allison Hernandez’s classes recently visited Deasy School to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss, who would have turned 111 on March 2.

The two classes worked with Meryl Gordon’s and Diane DePietro's first-grade classes. The children read “Green Eggs and Ham” and found the rhyming patterns in Dr. Seuss’ books. They also drew green eggs and ham and finished with a surprise green eggs and ham treat.
