Harlem Wizards Lace Up at Glen Cove

Students and their families enjoyed a fun night of silly basketball antics when the Harlem Wizards took on teachers, administrators and community members during a fundraising game sponsored by Connolly School’s PTA at Glen Cove High School.

The exhibition game was highlighted by incredible basketball tricks, audience participation and a tremendous amount of laughter. It also raised money for the Dr. Mary Bear Scholarship, which benefits a fifth-grade Connolly student and the PTA’s Cultural Arts Committee.

Connolly School PTA President Michelle Scarfo-Juarez said the event’s success was due to the generosity of the community and the members of the PTA’s Family Night Out Committee.

“We really appreciate all of the support,” she said “A lot of the people who attended don’t have children at Connolly, and they came to support out school.”

Glen Cove Mayor Reginald Spinello also joined community members at the game, posing for pictures with students in attendance.
