More than 120 Landing students raised $10,051 for the American Heart Association through the school’s participation in Jump Rope for Heart.

Through the Jump Rope for Heart program, students secured donations to jump rope during their physical education class to raise awareness and much-needed monies for the AHA. The money raised was the largest amount collected at Landing School in its 20-year history of supporting the organization. Congratulations to fifth-grade student Max Lasser, who raised $760. Other top fundraisers included: Maddy Kaffly ($600); Eli Reinheimer ($418); Olivia Bifone ($415); Kristen Sita ($355); Jaden Aguilar ($325); Sasha Brennan ($325); and Sofia Lorenti ($306).

Students were encouraged to collect online donations for this event. In all, there were 46 online participants, raising an astounding $7,313. Each student who raised money received an AHA duck and a duck sticker that was placed on the “Landing Duck Pond” at school.
