Humanities Students Visit Barnard College

Finley’s sixth-grade humanities class recently toured the Barnard College campus in New York City.

Throughout the semester, students have been studying Malala Yousafzai and her selfless fight for girls' education in Pakistan and around the world. As part of the visit, students learned about the history of Barnard College, which was founded in 1889 to provide women with an equal opportunity for education. They were given a campus tour and learned about Barnard's commitment to providing a competitive education that propels opportunities for women. Students saw firsthand why Yousafzai continues to selflessly fight for girls' education.
