Landing Students Perfect Ballet

Landing School fifth-graders kicked up their heels during a recent ballet recital in their gymnasium.

The performance, which culminated the district’s eight-week pilot program with the Eglevsky Ballet, brought two instructors and a classically trained pianist to both Landing and Connolly schools to work with fifth-graders.

Although Landing’s ballet was rescheduled multiple times due to winter weather, students didn’t miss a beat at the performance, showing off their spectacular dance moves and dance language learned through their participation in the program.

Students were all smiles as they performed for the Landing School community and Superintendent of Schools Maria Rianna.
