Select Chorale’s Fundraising Efforts Continue

Members of the Glen Cove High School Select Chorale are looking forward to performing for Pope Francis at the Vatican in January 2016 and continue to raise money for the trip, thanks to the generosity of the community.

To date, the group has raised $36,198 and wishes to express their gratitude to each member of the community who has contributed. They would also like to thank the local businesses and officials who have donated and/or hosted fundraisers on their behalf, including the American Legion Post 76, Friends of Reggie Spinello, the Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce, the Glen Cove Democratic Committee, the Glen Cove Fire Department, the Glen Cove Senior Center, the James Norton Columbiettes, the James Norton #1828 Knights of Columbus, JGT Construction, the Kiwanis Club of Glen Cove, Long Island Community Newspapers-Anton Community Newspapers, New York Community Bank, North Shore-LIJ Health Systems, Sea Cliff Mini Mart, Stango’s at the Orchard, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Women’s Club of Glen Cove. In addition to their support to date, Stango’s at the Orchard plans to donate funds from each of its Tuesday night buffets through December to the group. The Select Chorale is also holding a Dinner and Concert fundraiser at Glen Cove High School on Nov. 20 at 6 p.m.
