Connolly School fifth-grader Allyson Rosado is the winner of Storyworks magazine’s Worm Contest.

Allyson and her classmates recently read the story “The Worm Turns” and completed a written assignment that asked them to select one of the main characters and describe when they “turned” at the end of the story. In addition, the students were asked to write about a time in their life that they had “turned” and changed for the better. Allyson wrote about conquering her fear of the Hulk and Rockin’ Rip, two rides at Universal Studios in Florida.

Storyworks sent Allyson a copy of Rob Buyea’s book, “Because of Mr. Terupt,” in recognition of her win. Fifth-grade teacher Frank Monteleone and Principal Rosemarie Sekelsky congratulated Allyson on her outstanding achievement.
