Deasy School P.T.A. will present a free Health Fair open to the public from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 16th at K.A. Deasy Elementary School located at 2 Dosoris Lane, Glen Cove. The Deasy Health Fair is designed to provide information about healthy lifestyles, nutrition, after school programs, sports leagues, health services and related information to the Glen Cove community. In the Deasy All Purpose Room over 25 exhibitors will provide information, demonstrations, product samples and free health screening. Raffles will be held for a child’s bicycle and helmet, free summer and sports camp registrations, gift certificates, and other merchandise. Raffle tickets are $ 1.00 each.

Event participants include: City of Glen Cove Recreation & Parks Department, Glen Cove Youth Bureau, La Fuerza Unida, Nassau County Health Dept., Glen Cove LIJ Hospital, S.A.F.E., Glen Cove Junior Soccer, Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club, Glen Dance Studio, Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club, The Little Gym, Hofstra Gifted
Program & University for Children, North Shore Children’s Health, Maxine Chiropractic, Comfort Dental, Walgreen’s and the YMCA. Downstairs in the Deasy gymnasium, a series of activities will keep children occupied and active during the fair. At 6:30 - Karate by Gold Martial Arts, at 7:00 - Zumba for Kids by Glen Dance, at 7:30 – Yoga by Katie B. from MyWellness Studio, and at 8:00 – Dance Party by DJ Battaglia.
