Deasy Families Gather for International Night

The Deasy Outreach Committee hosted International Night on May 17 at Finley Middle School and Deasy Elementary School.

The evening began in Finley’s cafeteria, with Deasy families arriving with a variety of ethnic homemade entrees and desserts, including rice and beans, a Peruvian potato dish, as well as salads and pasta selections to share. After dinner, families moved from the middle school to Deasy’s All Purpose Room, where Aloha Dancers entertained them. The children and parents also had the opportunity to put on grass skirts and test out their hula skills. At the end of the evening, Deasy School Principal Ken Craft adorned a headdress and hula skirt and danced the last hula of the night. It was a wonderful evening for everyone in attendance.
