First-graders at Deasy School spent quality time with their dads when the school held its annual Father’s Day celebration on June 14.
During the morning event, students and their fathers played kickball, under the guidance of physical education teacher Christopher MacDonald. They also enjoyed a snack and constructed wooden toolboxes, thanks to Home Depot. The retail chain donated the materials for the toolbox activity, which included work aprons for the students. The first-grade dads were also presented with pictures and stories that the students had created.
