Fifth-graders at Connolly Move Up

Connolly School fifth-graders were filled with excitement as they took part in the school’s annual Moving Up ceremony on June 22.

The ceremony began with students singing the national anthem and Connolly School song. It continued with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Maria Rianna and Principal Rosemarie Sekelsky extending their congratulations to students as they move to Finley Middle School and beyond. Connolly students Matthew Basil, Destiny Foy and Carter Suozzi also addressed their peers at the ceremony. In addition to celebrating the students’ completion of fifth grade, Presidential Awards, Triple C Awards, the Principal’s Citizenship Awards and Academic Achievement Awards were presented. Congratulations to all students!
