Fifth-grade K Kids from Connolly School visited residents of the Glen Cove Senior Citizen Center to spread some holiday cheer and sing traditional holiday songs. Accompanied by advisor Nancy Cox and led by choral teacher Sandra Vigliotti in song, the students took a short time out from their studies to share some quality time with their elders. They also led a sing-along with their happy hosts.

Kiwanis International recently commended the Connolly K Kids for their participation in a fundraiser for UNICEF in which the students raised $300 to support vaccinations to eliminate childhood diseases afflicting children in Africa. The group participates in similar causes to raise awareness and help others in the community and abroad, throughout the school year.
