The Connolly K-Kids are spreading holiday cheer across the globe this December.

The students are participating in a service project called Operation Christmas Child. The K-Kids packed boxes filled with toys, school supplies and personal hygiene items that will be sent to children in impoverished parts of the world so that they may experience the joy of the holiday season and also receive some needed supplies.

The students packed six boxes to send overseas in partnership with their Kiwanis sponsor club, The North Shore Kiwanis.

Connolly teachers Krystle Gonzalez and Sandra Vigliotti serve as advisers for the K-Kids club and retired Connolly teacher Leslie McCarthy is the North Shore Kiwanis Club liaison. The Connolly K-Kids were happy to send some fun and necessary items to children to have the opportunity to enjoy the giving season.
