The efforts of Glen Cove High School’s girls volleyball team have earned the district a spot in the LI Holiday Sports Heroes Video Challenge, which would result in a grant for the district if the project wins. Please take a moment to vote for Glen Cove by going to this website:

For the fifth consecutive year, Glen Cove’s and Locust Valley’s volleyball programs teamed up for a Dig Pink non-league game in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Prior to the game, the teams held a bake sale and donated the proceeds to the Side-Out Foundation, a cancer research organization.

Voting has begun and will end on Monday, Dec. 12.

The first-place winner will receive a $3,000 scholarship or grant; the second-place winner will receive a $1,500 scholarship or grant. The video that places third will receive a $500 scholarship or grant.
