The Glen Cove High School television department is excited to announce its ability to stream live events in full high definition.

The TV studio acquired new Sony HD cameras this year to complement its TriCaster streaming hardware and software that was recently upgraded with the help of the technology services department. A test run was conducted during the high school pep rally and now all events will be streamed live in HD. Winter concerts throughout the district were recorded and streamed and can be found permanently archived on the GCTV Livestream page: https://livestream.com/accounts/11205592

Ed Norris of the high school music department described watching the live stream of the recent Masquers drama as, "absolutely fantastic. Looks like I'm watching TV."

Television teacher Christopher Barry described the technology as “a major step up for the department.”

“We’re very excited,” Barry said. “Now we can provide content to our viewers and members of the community that looks completely professional. The students in the TV production program are equally excited to have access to this new technology. We are grateful to have the tools to capture Glen Cove’s live events at this high quality.”
