Glen Cove High School alumnus Gabriella Morrocu (Class of 2013) has achieved stellar athletic accomplishments during her four-year athletic career at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.  

Gabriella started playing lacrosse at Landing Elementary School in third grade and has procured her skills propelling her to an auspicious athletic career in college. She was recognized as an All-County girls’ lacrosse player during her time at Glen Cove High School and currently holds the school’s girls’ lacrosse team’s career high in goals.

The King's College Monarchs women's lacrosse team named Gabriella to the 2017 All-Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Team. She also earned the title of Offensive Player of the Year, as well as first team honors.

Gabriella earned her third all-conference selection after being named to the second team the past two seasons. She led King's with 65 points on 51 goals and 14 assists. She ranked fourth in the conference in goals and fifth in points. She also led the Monarchs and was ranked seventh in the conference with 53 draw controls. Her best game was in the season opener when she recorded nine points on six goals and three assists in an 18-8 victory over Keystone. She was named the conference Offensive Player of the Week for her performance against the Giants.

Gabriella completes her King’s College athletic career with a total of 172 goals and 202 career draw controls, which ranks her third all-time in program history for both categories. Her career total points of 223 ranks her fourth all-time in program history and her 51 assists ranks her fifth all-time in program history.

Congratulations to Gabriella, who amassed incredible athletic achievements and ranked top five of all time in four categories at King’s College!
