Deasy First-Graders Learn About Inventions Photo

Deasy first-graders explored a collection of inventions from the past and learned about the special functions of historical inventions such as the telephone and the meat grinder when the Long Island Children’s Museum’s Spirit of Invention workshop visited their school.

The students were excited to hear about the lives of famous inventors such as George Washington Carver and Marie Curie. The also used their knowledge of technology, problem-solving skills and creativity to create their own futuristic invention using an assortment of recycled materials.
