Glen Cove High School seniors attended a voter education and registration workshop on April 11.

The activity was hosted by the Nassau County Board of Elections to allow the students that will be 18 years of age by the next general election on Nov. 6 and are eligible, to vote. A bipartisan team came to the school with instructional materials and guided students through the process of properly completing registration forms. They also brought a voting machine to demonstrate and familiarize the students with the actual process of entering their ballot. Meaningful discussions about the importance of citizens voting and civic duty were discussed.
