Students from Glen Cove High School who participated in the STEP (Science Technology Engineering Program) this past academic school year have graduated.

Under the supervision of Glen Cove science teacher Ms. Jillian Romano, the students have been hard at work designing proposals and solutions to world problems and conducting research in science laboratories on a college campus, as well as designing robots to compete in multiple robotics tournaments. Beginning in September, students spent every Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at New York Institute of Technology designing and conducting innovative projects.

This program has positively affected the lives of participating students and guided them to focus on a science career path, which at one time only seemed like a dream. The STEP program has allowed these students to dream big and to realize that with hard work anything is possible.
