Glen Cove High School will celebrate Homecoming 2012 on Saturday, September 29. Festivities began with the school's annual pep rally on Friday afternoon as the fall athletic teams were introduced.

The pep rally included performances by the varsity kickline and cheerleaders, along with special acknowledgements and continuous entertainment by the high school band. The 2012 Homecoming Court was also introduced.

Saturday's Homecoming activities will begin at approximately 12:15 p.m. with the annual parade, beginning at Gribbin Elementary School and concluding on the high school field. At approximately 12:45 p.m. the Booster Club will officially cut the ribbon on the high school's new concession facility. At 1:30 p.m. the Glen Cove High School Big Red varsity football team will host the South Side High School Cyclones (pre-game festivities at 1 p.m.). The Homecoming Court will be re-introduced at halftime and a king and queen will be named, followed by additional performances. All residents are invited to attend and cheer on the Big Red.
