State and National Honors for Connolly K-Kids
The Connolly School 2017-2018 K-Kids Club received state and national honors from Kiwanis International on its scrapbook project. The club’s scrapbook was named best in New York State, as well as best scrapbook in the country. It contained pictures and writing of all the club’s activities and service projects that took place during the school year.

K-Kids advisers Krystle Gonzalez and Sandra Vigliotti gave a special mention to the club’s archivists, Francesca De La Rosa, Hannah Gansky and Summer Payne, for all of their work. The girls met many times during recess with the club’s Kiwanis liaison, retired Connolly teacher Leslie McCarthy, to design and create the beautiful scrapbook. The Connolly K-Kids received a certificate from the Kiwanis New York District and a $100 credit at the Kiwanis International Store, where they can get supplies for future service projects.

Ms. Gonzalez, Ms. Vigliotti and Principal Julie Mullen are very proud of the efforts of the archivists, as well as all of the 2017-2018 K-Kids for their service to the community.

They know that they will be good citizens of Glen Cove and the world in the years to come!
