Finley Middle School recently recognized the 210 students who have achieved Honor Roll or High Honor Roll in grades 6-8. Proud parents packed Finley’s Wunsch Center for a special assembly in which each of the honorees was welcomed on stage, congratulated by guidance counselors Juan Molina and Gus Sirakis and Assistant Principal Lawrence Carroll and presented with an Honor Roll pin by Principal Nelson Iocolano. Each Honor Roll member also received a certificate in school the following day.

The criterion for making Honor Roll is a minimum grade of 80 in each class as well as an overall average between 84.5 and 89.4. For High Honor Roll (also known as the Principal’s Academic Award), a student must receive a minimum grade of 80 in each class as well as an overall average above an 89.5. From this class, an impressive 190 achieved High Honor Roll. Congratulations to all!
