After placing 3rd at the Regional Championships in Pennsylvania, the Glen Cove High School Varsity Cheerleaders were invited to compete at the national level! This past weekend, for the first time, the Varsity Cheerleading team attended the Cheer Ltd. Nationals at CANAM in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The girls competed on Saturday and Sunday, performing a routine that they've put so much hard work into this season. All of their dedication and persistent efforts were rewarded on St. Patrick’s Day at the final awards ceremony; Glen Cove Varsity Cheerleaders are now 3rd in the nation, in the Large Varsity Non-Tumble Division.

“Thank you to all of the parents who have helped us along the way, we couldn't have accomplished this without you,” said Coach Amy Serr. “To the cheerleaders, I'm so proud of you and always had faith that you could be a national sensation! For the seniors, I am so sad to see you girls go however, you definitely left your mark not only in Glen Cove, but on the national stage. You rocked the mat!!”
