2017-2018 Pre-Kindergarten Registration
Registration dates for Pre-K begins on March 13, 2017.  Parents may call for a registration appointment beginning on February 1, 2017.

All incoming students who will be attending school in the Glen Cove School District must register at the Office of Central Registration located at Thayer House, 154 Dosoris Lane, Glen Cove, NY 11542.

After you have completed the registration packet, please call (516) 801-7001 to schedule an appointment.  

* To enter kindergarten, children must be five years old on or before December 1 of the school year.

* Students must reside within the geographic boundaries of our school district.

Before a student may be enrolled, the following entrance requirements must be met.

Student must be registered by a parent or a legal guardian.
(Proof of legal guardianship must be presented to school registrar.)

Required Documents:
1. Registration packet completed
2. Proof of child's age (birth certificate, passport, baptismal certificate).
3. Parent/guardian photo identification.
4. Immunization and health records.

5. Previous school records (if applicable)

 

Proof of Residency: Please note this is not an exhaustive list of proof that you may provide to prove residency:

If you are a property owner you must bring in:
a. Mortgage Documents or Property tax bill
– AND -
b. Current utility bill (gas, water, electric, fuel oil statement)

If you are in a rental situation, you must bring in the following documentation:
If you have a Lease or Rental Agreement:

a. Signed Lease/Rental Agreement
b. Proof of your residence at the address - one of the following items:
       i.     Current Utility Bill (gas, water, electric, fuel oil statement)
       ii.    Social Services paperwork
       iii.    Medical or automobile insurance document

If you DO NOT HAVE a Lease or Rental Agreement:
a. Proof of Landlord’s ownership of the residency where you are living (Mortgage Documents or Property Tax Bill)
b. Rental Affidavit (see below)
c. Proof of your residence at the Glen Cove address - one of the following items:
     1. Current Utility Bill (gas, water, electric, fuel oil statement)
     2. Department of Social Services Forms 

Falsification of residency documentation will result in exclusion from the Glen Cove School District and financial liability for appropriated tuition costs.
