As Guidance Counselors, we are often asked about special opportunities for students. Whether students are looking for a way to spend their summer, or their weekends, it is important to use their time productively. Please be aware of program deadlines and requirements.
4 Star Camps: At the University of Virginia Wide Variety of course offerings, workshops and activities.
HS Program for students entering grades 10-12. Junior High Program for students entering 7th-9th grades.
Career Explorations: Three-day summer programs for high school students entering their junior or senior year.
Choate Rosemary Hall Summer Programs: HS Enrichment programs & MS programs available
Columbia University: Summer Programs in New York City and Barcelona.
Cornell University Summer Programs: Award winning programs
DigiGirlz Summer Camp: For women interested in getting a better understanding of what a career in technology is all about. The program is 3-5 days and held at Stony Brook.
Huntington School of Fine Arts: Summer Arts Program which includes painting, drawing and sculpture from a live model
Junior Statesmen Summer Programs: Programs held at Georgetown University, Yale University, Princeton University and Stanford University.
Landmark Volunteers: Youth Across America, 2 week volunteer programs
Nassau University Medical Center Program: For juniors interested in medical care. This program is a Volunteer Services Program.

New York State Summer School of the Arts: 8 Component Schools: Ballet, Choral Studies, Dance, Jazz, Media Arts, Orchestral Studies, Theatre, Visual Arts
Norwich University: Future Leader Camp and Engineering Academy
Otis College of Art and Design: Summer of Art College Prep Program, for students 15 years or older
Oxbridge Academic Programs: Study abroad programs available to students grades 8-12, Campuses in England, Spain and France
People to People Student Ambassador Programs: 3 week programs that are hands-on learning opportunities in different cultures around the world. Programs available for middle school and high school students.
Samberg Family History Program: Academic Summer Fellowship for students in grades 9-12 at the Center for Jewish History.
School of Cinema & Performing Arts: Camp programs available in New York City, London, Los Angeles, & Vermont. MS Camps (Ages 14-18) and youth Camps (Ages 11-13)
Summer 2008 Music Program: for Young Artists, ages 15-18. Boston University, Tanglewood Institute
Summer Institute for the Gifted: For students in grades K-11.
Summer Programs at New York University: For rising juniors and seniors
Summer Programs at Sarah Lawrence College: 3 & 6 week residential courses available
Summer Study Programs: -Summer at Penn State, 6 _ week College Credit Program, includes SAT/ACT Prep, trips, community service

Computer Engineering Camp: Held at Alfred University for students ages 12 through 17
Cornell University Summer College: Experience college life at Cornell, take real university courses, earn college credit, and explore career options. For students who completed their sophomore, junior or senior year.
Oxford Advanced Studies Program: Program held at Oxford.. Open to all juniors and seniors.
Summer Arts Academy: Available to grades 6 through 12 who have an interest in the art. Includes courses in creative writing, performing and visual arts.
MITES Program: Six week summer program that prepares high school seniors for careers in engineering and science.
Diversity Initiatives Program: program for prospective and incoming NYU students
VCU Arts: For high school students interested in animation, art online, fashion design and merchandising, filmmaking, photography, theatre and portfolio building.
Student Leaders Program: For grades 8-11. For juniors or seniors who have passion for making a difference in our community.
